We are excited to again be hosting the Ann Moyna Memorial Fundraiser in honor of our good friend and long-time Altoona resident, Ann Moyna.
This year’s event will take place in Altoona on Friday, May 3rd and Saturday, May 4th, 2024. It will include a 4-person, best ball, golf tournament at Terrace Hills Golf Course at 12:00 PM on Friday. Then beginning at 12 PM on Saturday, Fireside will be filled with live music, a bags tournament, a silent auction featuring items and services from local Altoona businesses, and plenty of time to socialize with friends and family.
The Ann Moyna Foundation was established in Ann’s name in 2022, a year after her unexpected passing due to ovarian cancer. Our goal is to carry on her legacy as a recognized leader and volunteer in Altoona and the surrounding Southeast Polk Community. Ann, and her husband Steve, took great pride in the town and the residents of Altoona and were always looking for ways to serve and make it a better place to live and learn. They were pivotal in establishing our annual Altoona Palooza celebration and were even voted Altoona’s Outstanding Citizens of the Year in 2019.
In both 2022 and 2023, thanks to this event, the Ann Moyna Foundation was able to fund numerous scholarships for high school seniors in the Southeast Polk school district along with several other donations to the Iowa Court Reporter’s Scholarship and Altoona Palooza.
This event would not be possible without sponsorships and generous donations from the businesses of Altoona and the surrounding area. The foundation’s planning committee has put together some great sponsorship opportunities, which are outlined below.
